04/15/07

Manchester Monarchs Booster Club members had the opportunity to have their say
as to what player would win the 2006-2007 MMBC/Wild Rover Player of the Year Award
at the last two games in March.  Of the 87 members of the booster club, 51 voted for
the player they felt deserved such an award.

The vote was a landslide victory for Jason LaBarbera, goaltender for the Manchester
Monarchs during the 2006-2007 hockey season.  Congratulations to Jason for being
selected as the 2006-2007 MMBC/Wild Rover Player of the Year.

Jason was presented the award during a pre-game on-ice award ceremony held
before the April 12, 2006 home game vs. the Providence Bruins.  MMBC President Bill
Walch and Vice President Marlene Lein presented the award to Jason.

The award is made in the shape of the State of New Hampshire, with the MMBC logo
on the upper part of the award and below it the inscription of “The MMBC honors
Jason Labarbera as Player of the Year 2006-2007 in recognition of his outstanding
contributions to the Manchester Monarchs during the entire season”.

Along with the award, Jason received a $50.00 gift card to the Wild Rover Restaurant & Pub located at 21 Kosciuszko Street in
Manchester, NH.  The Wild Rover is the sponsor of the MMBC’s Player Award for the Year.  Way to go, Jason!!!  It was well earned!

Previous recipients of the MMBC/Wild Rover Player of the Year Award were Pavel Rosa (2003-2004) , Mike Cammalleri (2004-2005) &
